Film Factory School is excited to announce the launch of its first online course for anyone who wants to get into the Television & Film Industry as either a Location Assistant or Production Runner.

The course covers everything you need to know to become a Location Assistant / Production Runner, what your day to day role is, what all the other main departments do in a major TV Drama or Feature Film along with lessons on location with experts in their field of work e.g. Special Effects, Camera, Grip & Lighting Departments, all different vehicles used, weapons and so on.

The School will be launching more courses in 2025 in the Location Department followed by courses in the Assistant Directors, Camera and Art Departments.

Next year there will be the chance to sign up to a monthly membership, which will give you access to a large database of Productions around the British Isles, so you will know what is in development, pre-production or production and who to get in touch with for a potential job. No matter if you live in Ireland, Scotland, Wales or England, you will be able to click on and see what productions are in your area and how to get in touch with them.

We will also be listing lots of other really useful information both in your area and nationwide to help increase your skill set and give you the best chance to not only get a job but to keep getting work on a regular basis.
